Baseball Prospectus released their Top 10 Orioles Prospect list today which basically ends the "prospect list season". Below I have gathered the Top 10 Orioles Prospects from seven different sources: Baseball America, Baseball Prospectus, Fangraphs, Keith Law (ESPN), MLB.com, Orioles Hangout, and John Sickels (Minor League Ball). At the end of the chart, I compiled composite rankings by assigning a score of 10 for every #1 ranking, 9 for every #2 ranking, and so on. Overall, the top 5 were relatively consistent among all of the lists. There is a bit of a drop off between Delmonico at #5 and Hoes at #6, but the big drop comes after that. There were very few consensus picks among #7 through #10 but it is hard to argue with any of the placements.

The Orioles system was generally viewed by all of the prospect graders as middle of the pack. Keith Law was the highest on the O's system, ranking them thirteenth overall in the Majors and place four players in his top 100 (Bundy #3, Gausman #26, Schoop #50, and Rodriquez #100). All the evaluators appear to be uniformed in their opinion that the O's minor league system is still lacking depth and is a bit top heavy, but there are some talented first year players on all of the list that could shoot up next year's list with good showings in their first full seasons (Kline, Hader, Marin, and Walker). In terms of prospects that can help out in the near future, Hoes and Avery good see time as 4th outfielders this season in Baltimore, Bundy and Gausman are likely called up sometime during the summer and Schoop could be an option at 2B if the need arises or he forces the issue.
